When the dust settled, it was the Alliance who emerged victorious, edging out their opponents with a hard-fought 3-2 win and maintaining their flawless record of 4-0 for the season.
The game burst into life with a moment of brilliance from Mikey D'Alessandro when Sean Granshaw dished a pass to Number 78, and D'Alessandro unleashed an unstoppable rocket from outside the box, leaving the Wildcats' goalkeeper rooted to the spot. But the Wildcats weren't about to roll over. They clawed their way back into contention, flipping the script with two back-to-back goals to take the lead and put the Alliance on the back foot.
Amidst the tension, Coach Rob decided to shake things up, making a gutsy call to swap out goalkeeper Nick Mroczkowski for Sean Granshaw.
