Needham Memorial Day Invitational – Boston, MA

 

The Needham Memorial Day Invitational is one of the nation’s most established and well-respected youth soccer tournaments. Now in its 48th year, it offers a perfect mix of competitive play and community atmosphere—an ideal fit for town and travel-level teams looking to challenge themselves against new opponents while staying competitive.

Held just outside Boston, Massachusetts, the tournament provides an incredible Memorial Day weekend experience for players and families. With over 80 clubs participating in 2024, teams are placed in divisions that ensure balanced matchups at every level of play. Whether your team is developing or contending for a championship, the Needham Invitational provides meaningful, well-matched games that make for an exciting and rewarding weekend.


Each team plays a three-game group stage with the opportunity to advance to Championship Monday, for a total of up to five games.

The Wellesley Memorial Day Event – Boston, MA

 

This long-standing, development-focused event is sanctioned through the Massachusetts Youth Soccer Association and features 7v7 play for U9 and U10 boys and girls teams.

Teams from across New England and surrounding regions attend each year, creating a diverse and competitive playing environment. All matches are played on well-maintained local fields within close proximity to Boston and its surrounding communities.

 

Rosters are limited to twelve (12) players, with exceptions permitted only with tournament director approval. Teams must consist of players registered with their home club for league play. All-star and club-select teams may be considered at the tournament committee’s discretion. FIFA rules apply.
 

Aligned with the developmental philosophy for U9/U10 competition, scores and standings are not recorded and each team will play a minimum of four matches. Every team must have two adult representatives present on the sideline for all matches.
 

This tournament offers a welcoming, family-friendly environment and an exciting opportunity for young athletes to compete, grow, and enjoy a memorable soccer weekend together.
