About Our Travel Program
Welcome to the Hauppauge Soccer League (HSL) Travel Program, where we are dedicated to nurturing young talents and fostering competitive spirit among our young athletes.
Affiliations
HSL proudly participates in both the Long Island Junior Soccer League (LIJSL) and the New York Club Soccer League (NYCSL), operating under the Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association (ENYYSA) and US Club Soccer Association, respectively. Our affiliations with these prominent organizations offer multiple competitive divisions, enabling us to place teams at appropriate levels for meaningful growth and development.
Competitive Structure
Our aim is to provide a conducive environment for player growth, forming as many teams as we have players for each level. The flexible league structure allows for movement between divisions, ensuring that the competitive level remains suitable for each team.
Coaching and Management
Every travel team is assigned a certified trainer, who takes on the role of head coach. Additionally, each team has a volunteer Parent Administrator, a vital link who assists in team registration, budget handling, and acts as a liaison between parents and trainers. This collaboration is an integral part of our travel program's success.
Commitment and Training
The travel soccer commitment extends through Fall and Spring. Participants can expect to practice twice a week, with weekend games, and at least two tournaments throughout the year. Winter also offers indoor training (once a week), and teams may opt to engage in winter leagues such as futsal.
Fees and Expenses
Besides the annual registration fee, participants will cover team dues, which include costs for trainers, tournaments, and other team-related expenses.
