One Club. One Community. One Weekend in Boston that Our Families Will Never Forget.

As we all gear up and pack for the weekend ahead, trying to figure out what to bring and somehow fit it all into the car, I wanted to share one thought before we head to Boston.

In youth sports, it’s easy to get caught up in scores, rankings, and results.

But weekends like this remind us what it’s really all about.

Because years from now, our kids are not going to remember every score or every trophy.

They’re going to remember the hotel hallways filled with teammates.

They’re going to remember the ferry rides. They’re going to remember late night laughs with friends. They’re going to remember exploring a new city wearing their Hauppauge jersey with pride.

And honestly, so will we.

There is something incredibly special about having every single Hauppauge Soccer team together in Boston this weekend. Seeing our players and families all over the city wearing the Memorial Day Weekend jerseys will be a reminder that we are part of something much bigger than just one team.

Different ages. Different levels. Different teams.

One club. One community.

The hotel lobby will be chaos. Kids running everywhere. Soccer balls bouncing when they shouldn’t be. Parents sharing stories over a drink after the games. By the end of the weekend, the hotel staff may be ready for us to leave, but that’s part of what makes these weekends unforgettable.

I’ve always said that teams become family when they go away for Memorial Day Weekend.

Because when you step back and really look around, you realize this has always been about more than soccer.

It’s about friendships.

And not just for the players.

Some of the best friendships in this club are built late at night in hotel lobbies and restaurants after the games are over. Parents sitting together over a drink, laughing about the day, talking about their kids, and realizing that they are growing through these experiences together too.

Before you know it, teammates become lifelong friends.

Parents do too.

That’s what makes weekends like this special.

One day, the boys and girls standing side by side this weekend will stand side by side again at high school graduation. And long after the games are over, these are the memories they’ll carry with them forever.

I’m also excited to share that we will have over 500 people attending our Saturday night celebration. More than 500 members of the Hauppauge Soccer family together in one place.

That says everything about the kind of community we have built together.

So while I hope every team goes out there and competes their hearts out this weekend, I also hope everyone takes a moment to appreciate what this weekend really is.

One day, these weekends become stories.

And long after the final whistle blows in Boston, these are the moments our families will remember.

Good luck to all of our teams this weekend. We are proud of every player, coach, and family representing Hauppauge Soccer.

See you all in Boston.
