It was perfect soccer weather and an even better day for a win as the Hauppauge United girls soccer team battled it out against their rivals, the Sachem Slammers. In a game marked by intensity, teamwork, and grit, Hauppauge United came out on top with a hard-fought 2-1 victory.

From the first whistle, Hauppauge United set the tone, coming out strong and aggressive. The offensive unit—Alexa Perlstadt, Emma Pinelli, Tenley Jensen, Kensie Buscher, Aleyna Horasanli, Emersyn Drake, and Edith Arevalo-Flores—worked in perfect sync, moving the ball with smart, strategic passing. Their connection up top kept the Sachem defense on their heels throughout the game.

Midfielder Emma Pinelli stood out with her fearless play, charging through the opposition with slick footwork and firing off several solid shots on goal. Her energy was matched by defender Ashley Leinz, whose long and accurate throw-ins proved to be a serious weapon for United. One of those throw-ins landed perfectly at the feet of Horasanli, who trapped the ball and laid it off to Jensen.
