Hauppauge Soccer Partners with NYCFC for Exclusive Youth Talent ID Event

Hauppauge Soccer and our training partners at VIVA are proud to announce a new level of opportunity for our players. In collaboration with New York City FC, we’ve been invited to an exclusive NYCFC Youth Talent ID Event on Friday, June 6th, at St. John’s University.

This is not an open tryout — it’s a private, invite-only scouting session where NYCFC Academy staff will evaluate select players from trusted club partners. It’s a direct connection to one of the most respected youth development programs in New York.

VIVA’s training staff will collaborate as a team to hand-pick players across our program who have demonstrated the technical quality, decision-making, and coachability that NYCFC looks for in academy prospects. Not every age group is guaranteed to be represented — and only players chosen through this internal process will be invited.

Please Note:

At this time, the event is for boys only. NYCFC does not currently have enough girls to run a similar session, but we’ll be sure to communicate if future opportunities open up on the girls' side.

Players selected to attend the NYCFC Talent ID event must be committed to playing for Hauppauge Soccer during the 2025/2026 season. This opportunity is being extended through our club partnership and is meant for players who are part of our long-term development plan.

• 2014 & 2013: 6:00–7:00 PM

• 2012 & 2011: 7:00–8:00 PM

Invites will go out by May 19th and invitations must be accepted by May 23rd. Selected players will be announced shortly after.
